Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Daily Icebreakers (the “Service”), operated by Taim Technologies, LLC, collects and what we do with it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Team content. The teams you create or join, team member display names, the icebreaker questions your team adds, which questions have been used or skipped, and the daily presence marks indicating who is available to answer.

Session information. To keep you signed in securely, we store a session token along with the IP address and browser user agent associated with that session.

Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to collect aggregate, privacy-friendly statistics such as page views. This does not use cookies to track you across other websites.

How we use information

• To operate the Service and show your team its daily question
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure
• To display team member names and presence to your teammates
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the Service
• To respond to your support requests

We do not use your team's questions or answers to build advertising profiles.

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• We do not rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
• We do not show third-party advertising inside the Service.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of vendors to run the Service. They process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:

• Google — sign-in and authentication
• Vercel — application hosting and privacy-friendly analytics
• Our database provider — secure storage of the data described above

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.

Who can see your information

Members of a team can see that team's name, its member display names, its questions, and daily presence marks. Team administrators can additionally add and remove members. Your email address is not displayed to other team members.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete a team, its questions, presence records, and membership data are deleted with it. Expired sessions are removed automatically.

Your choices and rights

You can update your team and question data at any time from within the app. You may request a copy of your personal data, a correction, or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at support@taimtechnologies.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within any period required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no sale for you to opt out of.

Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure session handling to protect your data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected in the Service.
